Hey, so there was a book I read a few years ago and I can't remember the title. Only parts of it. It'll be appreciated if someone can help me with finding this book. This is all I remember

There was a guy who had went and lived with another's family. The adopted kid had been a juvenile, them trying to get his life back in order with sending him there. It has also been because his father lost custody of him. They had gone to school together. The adopted kid had a child with another, having been the reason why he was in juvie. However it was if I remember correctly because the girl died when giving birth. His father however had taken the kid back one day and as the car was going over a bridge or something, it fell into a frozen lake
