Delilah Johnson | 1 comments I’m Delilah and I’m here to drop a book that still has your girl over here wiping tears and deserves to be read and reviewed. (Please note that I'm not the author and don't know her personally, though I reached out after reading this book) I just finished a new release titled, Still Black, and I am experiencing a different type of book hangover. In less than 200 pages, I was emotionally dragged. I laughed, then found myself crying, then became enraged, then hopeless, then somehow hopeful. Though this book was dark as hell and pretty short, Ferebee shed light on black families, our behind closed doors convos, the strength of black fathers, and gave us an up-close look at how racism destroys family members in different ways.

I was so moved, I had to email the author. Okay, I’ve done this to other authors too because I’m obsessed with black literature, and she was sweet enough to write back. She is so sweet, and even in our short email exchange, I could feel her passion for people of color. She also said she’s always seeking reviews and gifts ebooks through Amazon to interested readers who are willing to read and review here and on Amazon. As I’ve said in regards to other books I’ve shouted out, I want to see more authors of color get the recognition they deserve.

The author’s name is Tammy Ferebee and her site is . I contacted her there and she responded pretty quickly. She has IG but I haven’t communicated with her there.

The book is short but is packed with trigger warnings. Read them and believe them.
--If you read dark like I do, send me recommendations. I’m here for them and I enjoy reviewing!
