Trisha (trishabisen) | 2389 comments This thread is to discuss Hex by Thomas Olde Heuvelt, the first book in the Robert Grim series.

Pages: 384 pages

Length: 1 Month (July)

Participants: Saha, Lorraine, Rebecca.

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!

Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.

Happy Buddy Reading!

Thieryn | 133 comments I started this a few days ago, and so far I am not entirely sure if it is a serious "horror" book or not. There's a jest-like feel to it, almost if some characters are comical interpretations of themselves :O

Lorraine | 2125 comments I agree with you that the beginning gives the impression we are reading a comic book. But it will become more serious/scary as you go. Can not say that this book kept me awake at night (not like IT by Stephen King or The Shining), but I found it was a good book after all. I am curious to talk with you about the ending...:-)
