BOOK NERDS SUMMER READING CHALLENGE


Goal: Complete as many prompts as possible

Rules: 1. No cheating: only logs books you've started (even if you started it in any other month) and finished (June-August) entirely.
2. Have fun! This isn't meant to "taunt" your reading any way, but to, rather, add up to the fun!

Instructions The moment we've all been waiting for: Summer! Which for book nerds, means plenty of time to read to our hearts content. In this challenge, we will have three different types of prompts. First type is a TBR list, upon signup you will choose five books you want to complete between June-August. Second, the our lovely mods have put together a summer reading list that will be used in this challenge. Finally, our classic prompts that y'all know and love. You can mix and match to your heart's content. We will, as always, be following a page count point system.

0-99 pages: 0.5 points
100-199 pages: 1 point
200-299 pages: 2 points
300-399 pages: 3 points
400-499 pages: 4 points
500-599 pages: 5 points
600-699 pages: 6 points
700+ pages: 7 points

If the protagonist is blind, can I use that as the disability representation prompt?

Yes, of course 😁 The disability rep prompt can include characters that are deaf, blind, non-vocal (mute), autistic, amputees, wheelchair users, have invisible disabilities (like chronic illnesses and autoimmune diseases [i.e. arthritis, lupus, Crohn's Disease, epilepsy, Lyme disease, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, asthma, and innumerable others), diabetes, muscular dystrophy, paraplegia, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, cancer, cystic fibrosis, Down syndrome, any type of limb difference, or disabilities such as OCD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, DID, BPD, dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, etc. Basically, if it's included as a disability (physical, mental, developmental, learning, or otherwise) under medical and/or governmental terms, it counts under this prompt 🙂 This includes any chronic/lifelong or life-threatening medical condition that I did not name
