“Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

It was under 200 pages. Recommend to me by someone in my book club. I liked it, there was a lot to take in for such a short book.

Manga quick lit Witch Hat Atelier - 2 volumes. I'm working on completing the third right now. I'll probably get through most of the volumes in between other reads this month.

I read The Dream by Agatha Christie. It was 100 pages. I'm really enjoying the Hercule Poirot series.

Finished Preludes & Nocturnes by Neil Gaiman, a graphic novel.
New to this genre, but was satisfied with a good story. May get around to some of the other books in the series, when my TBR list gets shorter. Hopefully in this lifetime. ;)

just lori (lgraber1212gmailcom) | 37 comments Challenge complete! I read two books that qualify for Quick Lit. I read Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach and A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. I really loved A Monster Calls. Listened to an audiobook which was wonderfully narrated by Jason Isaacs. It was a mistake to listen to the ending on my drive home from work though. I didn't really know much about Jonathan Livingston Seagull prior to reading it. My son had read it in middle school and had recently picked it up to reread. He said he enjoyed it much more as an adult so I decided to give it a try as well. The story took me by surprise. I still need to sit with this one for a while as there is a lot to unpack from this short read. I really expected this to be more nature oriented and it is actually more philosophical. Glad I read it.

1) Matilda by Roald Dahl; (Narr.) Kate Winslet

2) CHALLENGE COMPLETE

3) I listened to the audiobook, because I am currently in Matilda The Musical. It has been awhile since I’ve read it, so I wanted a refresher. I definitely enjoyed, especially Kate Winslet reading the story.
