Bailee so before Sirius went to Azkaban, harry wasn't even a year old when his parents died, right? so if Sirius was sentenced to 12 years, wouldn't he get out of Azkaban in the 3rd book? so what was the need to escape if he knew he would get out that year?

¸é±ð²Ôé±ð Purdie From what I just read, I think he got life in prison for his crimes, but I believe he escaped after serving 12 years.

Bailee okay thanks a lot because I was so confused whenever I figured that out like I was so confused.

Abla Everyone believed he was a serial killer from before Harry was born. Thats why he was there.

Lady Sirius Black somehow escaped Azkaban Prison, and from what I understand and understand, was soon to have been scheduled to receive 'The Kiss of Death'. Either that or he was just fed up with being imprisoned in Azkaban.

Lady Abla, he was imprisoned when Harry was an infant. That's when everything occurred.

Willow Sirius escaped from Azkaban because he saw in the newspaper a picture of Ron and his family in Egypt. He saw Wormtail in the picture (as Scabbers) and knew that he would be going to Hogwarts, where Harry was. So he escaped to try to save Harry.

Blue Actually it would not come out because it would have the condemnation of the kiss of death.
