Awesome, the more of us the better! :)
I'm going to start the book today. I recently read The Lottery and Other Stories by the same author and I liked it a lot, although it was not quite what I expected. I thought it was going to be more traditional horror, but instead it was basically contemporary short stories, although very, very unsettling in places, and wonderfully written.
So now I don't really know what to expect from this one, but I'm excited to find out!

I'd be interested to know what your own theories are, gorfad.

I read Dark Tales last year and I do absolutely recommend it for anyone who wants more Jackson after this book and The Haunting of Hill House.

This one definitely gave me a lot to think about and I will be back later with some better articulated thoughts :)

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!
Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.
