This month our category is emerging authors. This category is defined various ways by Jewish book organizations. Basically, it's authors who have a book out plus another more recent one, or the second one is in the works. These authors want to be writers (that is, they don't have just one book in them). They may have achieved some initial recognition, and they are on their way.

Because of the difficulties of the criteria (which Stacey will tell you is not easy), we will be submitting a panel of six nominees instead of requesting nominations. Whatever the definition, they all look to be good books.

To summarize, we will be providing the six nominations for the poll instead of taking nominations this time.
