What an amazing story! Surprisingly, I wasn't very excited to start reading this book, but now I realize I was completely wrong about it.

I really liked how the story was told from the main character's point of view. It felt so real to me. It wasn't like a filtered diary, but rather the honest thoughts of a determined teenager trying to change their life.

The story had a perfect mix of sad and funny moments. It introduced a variety of characters, some mean and others kind-hearted. Love, friendship, suffering, and even death were all part of it, making it feel true to life. I think anyone who has been a teenager can relate to at least a few things in this story.

And the best part was (view spoiler)[seeing Arnold overcome all the challenges he faced. He improved his relationships with family, made new friends, got back the old one, and discovered who he really is. I’m so glad you liked it. I hesitated to read it too. It was on (and off) my tbr a few times before I finally tried it. It was a very enjoyable read. I thought some of his friends in the new school were almost too nice. We’re so accustomed to stories with bullies (often in groups of three boys), I was surprised when two of his new friends showed that he had underestimated them. I think his humor won everyone over.
