Within this single challenge, you'll discover three captivating mini-challenges. Choose to complete one, or dare to conquer them all, and unlock your treasury of HallowPoints!
1. Halloween Spellbook Challenge
Unlock the mysteries of Halloween as you spell out spooky words with your reading choices!
Spell out Halloween-related words using the first letter of book titles or author names, from the following list.
General words:-
->Bats
->Candy
->Zombie
->Goblin
->Vampire
->Ghoul
Bonus words:-
->Halloween
->Spooky
->Witchcraft
->Moonlight
HallowPoints:
->On completing a letter of any word, you get 2 points.
->On completing a general word, you get 5 points additional.
->On completing a bonus word you get 10 points additional.
2. Halloween Haunt & Wordplay Challenge
Find Halloween-related words in the title or spell out your own, using the first letter of book titles or author names!
Example:
1. "Ghost" from "Ghost Story" by Peter Straub
2. Create a word like "Crow" by reading for all letters.
HallowPoints:
-> On finding a word in the title, you get 3 points for it.
-> On creating your own word, you earn points according to its length, so if the word is 3-letter long, you get 3 points, and so on.
3. Spooky Sentence Quest
Unleash your imagination and bring these Halloween-themed sentences to life by filling in the blanks with words from book titles. Infuse your unique creativity to give these sentences a playful twist and make them truly enchanting.
->In the haunted mansion, I stumbled upon a _______ that whispered secrets of the past.
Fill in the blank with a word from a book title (e.g., "Ghost" from "Ghost Story" by Peter Straub).
->Under the harvest moon, the witches gathered to cast their _______ and brew their potions.
->As I entered the eerie forest, the trees seemed to _______ with malevolent intent.
->When the pumpkin-headed scarecrow started telling _______ jokes, I knew this harvest festival was going to be unforgettable.
->The vampire at the costume party couldn't decide between a cape or a _______ as his fashion statement.
->In the monster's cookbook, the secret ingredient for the witch's brew was _______ sprinkles.
->As the mummy unwrapped itself, it revealed not bandages, but a collection of _______ mystery novels.

HallowPoints:
->On completing a sentence, you get 4 points.
ADDITIONAL POINTS:-
-> On reviewing a book, you get 2 points extra.
-> On buddy reading a book in this group, you get 4 points extra.
GENERAL RULES:-
1. Books read On or AFTER 1st October will count under the challenge.
2. The book read must be at least 120 pages to count.
3. Halloween Spellbook Challenge: Each word can be used once.
4. Halloween Haunt & Wordplay Challenge: A maximum of 5 words can be created, and a maximum of 5 words can be found in titles.
5. Spooky Sentence Quest: A sentence can be used a maximum of 2 times.
6. A review must be at least a paragraph (3-4 lines) to count for points.
7. Buddy read must be done in this group, to count for points.
🆕8. A book can be used in two different mini-challenges simultaneously. But, additional points can be added only once per book.
