In this space opera, a human colony on a distant planet stops communicating with Earth, and a rescue ship is dispatched to see what happened. Meanwhile, a secret agenda profoundly affects the mission.
Compelling story but a bit derivative. 3 stars
My review: /review/show...

How was that Chen book? I've read a couple of his so far.

I read Here and Now and Then a while back. It reminded me a bit of Crouch's Dark Matter -- very family-focused. I've only read the first St. Mary's. It was fine, but I haven't been motivated to continue. Do they get better?

Wishing you a quick recovery, Pierre!

Good luck and get well soon Pierre

I really enjoyed Assassin's Apprentice. I've probably read the first two trilogies 10 times.
