I still need to get it, lol. I missed the voting and didn't realize this was the book...

I'll let you know when I start! :)

i read all the books and watched the movies awhile ago. i’m excited to reread it and get back into that obsession 😂

✧B✧ | 1418 comments So far, the plot is pretty interesting, but I'm not a big fan of the characters.

✧B✧ | 1418 comments I finished this last night, and just watched the trailer for the movie. I want to see it, although it looks like they def changed things. Also, I knew Newt was British, now I have to go tell my sisters that I was right. :)

yes the movies are very different from the books. especially the second and third

Kanomi Okina ||Magic always comes with a price|| (goodreadscomkanomi_okina) | 231 comments I've read this before, and I actually liked it. Definitely different from the movies.

message 10: by ✧B (new) - added it

✧B✧ | 1418 comments I just watched the first movie yesterday. Very good, but they changed quite a bit. For the most part, it just worked better with it being a movie, though. Now I really want to read The Scorch Trials.

I am hoping to watch the movie, though I think it's rated PG-13, so....

message 12: by ✧B (new) - added it

✧B✧ | 1418 comments It is rated PG-13. It's just some violence and minor language though There MAY have been alcohol consumption, it wasn't clear what they were drinking. They didn't even know. :)

꒰ literary lydia ꒱ (literary_lydia) | 1590 comments Mod
Okay, great, thanks @Bella!! I would love to watch it, but my parents will have to watch it first, so...

message 14: by ✧B (new) - added it

✧B✧ | 1418 comments Yeah, I get it. It's a good movie, They do change quite a few things, though. I think THG was a more faithful adaption, although they changed things too.

꒰ literary lydia ꒱ (literary_lydia) | 1590 comments Mod
Yeah, that's why I don't particularly like movies based off books because they have to change things... I haven't seen THG, either :// 😭

message 16: by ✧B (new) - added it

✧B✧ | 1418 comments I do LOVE THG movies in spite of changed. Catching Fire was the closest to the book. Of course, the books are better, but the movies are great too.

꒰ literary lydia ꒱ (literary_lydia) | 1590 comments Mod
Good to know!! Since those are also PG-13, my parents also have to watch them before me

message 18: by ✧B (new) - added it

✧B✧ | 1418 comments Yeah, there was one scene in Catching Fire that I actually skipped. I mean, I know it doesn't show anything, but inappropriate. (if you read the book, you prob know what I'm referring to). And then there might be a part in TBOSAS. It depends on what exactly you're allowed to watch. But it should be easy to skip those parts, anyway.

꒰ literary lydia ꒱ (literary_lydia) | 1590 comments Mod
Lol, this is really helpful... I should probably reread Catching Fire, though my friend has it, so....

message 20: by ✧B (new) - added it

✧B✧ | 1418 comments There def wasn't anything in the first THG movie, my mom even let my brother watch it, and he's under 13. :) And Catching Fire is possibly my favorite for both books and movies. But then there's TBOSAS, so it might be a tie. I used to say TBOSAS was my fav book, but CF had the best movie, but idk. Have you read Ballad?

꒰ literary lydia ꒱ (literary_lydia) | 1590 comments Mod
Very cool!
Yes, I have...

message 22: by ✧B (new) - added it

✧B✧ | 1418 comments You didn't like it, did you? It's alight, most people don't it seems. I love it though. It's possibly my favorite, as I mentioned. :)

꒰ literary lydia ꒱ (literary_lydia) | 1590 comments Mod
No, it's more I don't really remember what happened, and I was trying to remember. I read them around a year and a half ago, so it's been a little while!
I remember liking it, but isn't that the one where Katniss admits she likes Peeta over Gale?

Also, I feel like we should move this to a more private place in case we're spoiling this book for anyone 😉🤣

message 24: by ✧B (new) - added it

✧B✧ | 1418 comments TBOSAS? That's the one about Snow... I think you're thinking of Mockingjay, the other one a lot of people don't like. (view spoiler)

message 25: by ✧B (new) - added it

✧B✧ | 1418 comments Btw, I didn't spoil anything. That was all you lol.

꒰ literary lydia ꒱ (literary_lydia) | 1590 comments Mod
No, I'm just saying for everyone else, lol.

I was talking about Catching Fire, sorry. I wasn't clear 🤣.

message 27: by ✧B (last edited Apr 25, 2024 09:38AM) (new) - added it

✧B✧ | 1418 comments Got confused. I asked if you had read TBOSAS, and you said "Yes, I have...", so I asked if you didn't like it. If you were talking about Catching Fire (view spoiler)

꒰ literary lydia ꒱ (literary_lydia) | 1590 comments Mod
Ohh, okay, sorry, that was my fault.

Tripp | 168 comments Mod
I still need to read this 😭😭 I’m a little behind lol

꒰ literary lydia ꒱ (literary_lydia) | 1590 comments Mod
