Diego Pedregal (diegopedregal) | 4 comments This book appears to be an edition of A Moveable Feast, when it actually is an edition of The Sun Also Rises. Please could you fix it?

David Raz (davidraz) | 10768 comments You are a librarian. Any reason you cannot do this yourself?

Diego Pedregal (diegopedregal) | 4 comments I don't really know how to do it. I tried by modifying the Original title field, but it keeps showing other editions of the wrong book, so I guess it is not the proper solution... If you tell me how to do it, I'll do it myself gladly

David Raz (davidraz) | 10768 comments You don't know how to split and merge? I'm sorry for being harsh, but how do you get to be a librarian without knowing how to split and merge? This knowledge is very clear in the librarian manual.

You also seem to lack basic understanding of the GoodReads database. You edited the original title, publication date and locations incorrectly. This data belongs with the work, not the edition. Again, this is also explained very well in the librarian manual, which you should have acquainted yourself with before editing. I hope I managed to undo all your changes. I suggest you stop all editing until you learn what you are doing. We have enough work as it is without needing to undo other librarians.

As for your original request, this does not require a superlibrarian. please move your request or repost it to the "Book & Author Page Issues" folder. If you have questions about editing, try the "Questions" folder.

Diego Pedregal (diegopedregal) | 4 comments Well you clearly are not sorry for being harsh, so I don't really understand why you apologise. Anyway, thank you for clarifying what I need to do.

I don't usually do much librarian work and I acquired such status a while ago now. That's the reason why I posted this in here, with the goal to get some help on how to achieve this. Although quite roughly, you actually helped me. So I thank you!

In the end, I joined GoodReads and moreover the Librarian Group because I (I'm guessing just like you) enjoy reading a lot, and would love to help making this grow, as well as making all its data accurate. We are not enemies, but members of the same team. You could have achieved exactly the same result while showing just some kindness.
