RitaSkeeter Is anyone else reading in these chapters? I'm kind of in the groove with the book now. Not the greatest book I've ever read, but it is fun.

I like D'Artagnan, but the musketeers give me the sh*ts. Have they actually done anything yet except get drunk and leach off other people???!!!

Mochajunkie I liked the story about the Queen and her diamond studs. But then I thought, I'm not even a third through the book. What happened to the other musketeers?

Um I kinda wish we hadn't found out. Can anything nice be said about these guys? Especially Athos after chapter 28? I'm pretty sure I would have left him behind.

Aside: I originally considered the diamond studs to be earring like. But there were more than two and they were on fabric(?). Does anyone know the fashion of the time? Can you explain what this style was? Link to an example?

I wanted to smack Porthos one too. Gosh he irritated me.

I would like to snow about the diamond studs too. I tried Googling but still not ale to visualise what Dumas meant.

Myst | 58 comments I'm still behind (getting close to c12) and nothing really seems to happen.

I did finish all my library books for the week though, so I'll have 4 days of musketeers uninterrupted by other books. Hopefully will get 1-4 chapters done a day and catch up.

Myst | 58 comments Finally to the diamond stud section. I wonder if they mean some form of button or button cover? If the duke was to have 12 of the studs on his doublet and they were able to be cut off...

That would make sense.

RitaSkeeter Chapter 27 - Athos' secret. I didn't think it was possible for me to like him any less, and then that.
