So far, this is my review:

THIS BOOK IS SO A COPY OF THE HUNGER GAMES. Which is great, because what's better, huh? Nothing! I think I will read this over and over when I finish the series. RECOMMENDED TO ALL! (on page 142 of 336)

Obviously I'll be adding to that. Check out my status update here!

I think The Scorch Trials was my favourite in the series.

Obviously I have to finish reading the series first, but I haven't picked a favorite book yet. The Scorch Trials was really good, but I also devoured The Maze Runner. I guess we'll see! I have heard that some people didn't really like The Death Cure as much though, which is dissapointing

*disappointing

message 24: by Bec (new)

Bec (_becandbooks) I just started reading The Journey by John Marsden and will probably stay up and finish it tonight. I always devour John Marsden books and it amazes me that I still manage to find some that I haven't read.

Linda Klinedinst (linda_klinedinst) I am reading "Sentenced To Death" by Lorna Barrett...it is Book #5 in "A Booktown Mystery Series".

I have read the first three books on my Kindle but I decided that I want to read them in the Physical Format so that is what I have been doing.

I dearly love this series and I love the characters in this series including the cat. He is so funny.

Happy Reading :)

message 26: by Linda (new)

Linda Klinedinst (linda_klinedinst) I meant the first four books in the series...not three.

Linda, the Matched trilogy consists of Matched, Crossed, and Reached. I think you would categorize them as young adult dystopian romance.

The first book is about a girl living in a society where people are not allowed to make their own choices because they might make the wrong one, so the government makes them instead. Their jobs and spouses are chosen for them. However, there's a glitch during Cassia's matching ceremony that shows her a second choice. That choice was not the government's ultimate choice though, so of course she has to go after what's forbidden. :P

I read the first book last year and enjoyed it, but I couldn't really get into the second book. (Not enough action for my taste.) I know a lot of people who really love the whole trilogy though!

message 30: by Linda (new)

Linda Klinedinst (linda_klinedinst) Thank you Sydney for your explanation of Matched Trilogy. I may have to check out this Trilogy.

Thanks again

Happy Reading :)

message 32: by Bec (new)

Bec (_becandbooks) Starting Life of Pi a little early for a buddy/group read. Still half way through Second Glance but I think I have kind of lost my interest.

Concentrating on The Best Short Stories of O. Henry because I'm going over seas soon and want to have a fresh book for the plane. Which I am thinking will be I Am Number Four.

Ooooo I really really enjoyed I Am Number Four! However, when I read it the language seemed pretty excessive (to my sheltered, homeschooled mind, at least). :|
