Yes, this is my 2nd BOTM list. This seriously is an obsession of mine. I can't believe I have enough books for 2 lists. I better get my reading on in 2025 or the hubster may cut me off.

I'm leaving the last 2 spots empty for my last box of the calendar year. If they don't drop until 2025 then I will pull 2 others (that are BOTM) from another list I'm working on.

Good luck, Lindsey! I am always so intrigued by your book of the month club. I also own Apples Never Fall and Alissa and I selected it as a buddy read...so maybe? It looks like such a good book. I haven't read any of these books and they look so good. :-)

I haven't read any of these (yet) but several are on my tbr shelf. I may put the Wishing Game back on. I was up and down with another book by her I read.

So, i actually got that one because Alissa said it was really good. And she recently came out with a new book - The Lost Story that Alissa and I did a buddy read on amd we both really liked it.

Holy shitake mushrooms! This book is crazy! I loved this insane, addictive story. Totally get the appeal this author has. This book makes me thankful I'm married and don't have to deal with dating and single life! Read this, it's a good one!

2nd book finished - Just Another Missing Person . 4 stars.

This is really a 3.5 star review for me but I'm rounding up because the ending was awesome and a total surprise! The first half of the book was extremely confusing at times which really frustrated me. Then at the halfway point there's this huge twist that makes everything make sense and all I could say was, "Boy, I never saw THAT coming!". The rest of the book was exciting, gripping and still kept you guessing after that. So while it started of shaky and slow, it ends with a bang!

3rd book finished- The Return of Ellie Black . 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Holy Tornado Twisters Batman! That was one crazy ride. This book sucked me in from page one and I just couldn't put it down. What happened to Ellie Black? That's the big mystery everyone is trying to solve. And just when you think you might have it solved, guess again! The author will throw you for a loop. I loved this book! I loved the format of how the author structured her writing and unfolding of the story. And wow, that ending!!! Blew me away! Definitely recommend this read!

4th book finished - Not in Love . 5 Hot Stars! 🌢🌢🌢🌢🌢

Holy Hot Carolina Reaper Peppers Batman! This book is spicy, steamy hot! I mean we are talking the scientific version of Fifty Shades of Grey! I love how she makes these great stories with the center being a woman of science. And this book is way more spicier than her others. Loved the story, love the characters and love the ending! Couldn't put it down!

5th book finished - Apples Never Fall . 3 stars

Ok. This was around a 3.5 stars for me. The story itself was good. It had me hooked. I kept going back and forth on if I thought Joy was alive or dead, missing or just ran away, who could be responsible for her sudden disappearance. I was actually having fun being a "couch detective" trying to solve this mystery. At first the length of the book appeared daunting and a tad overwhelming but I quickly found that the story is engaging enough to make the book hard to put down. So I'm gearing up for this big finale or super twist I never saw coming and neither happened. The ending was a big flop for me. And I really hate that because up to thst point I had really enjoyed this book.

Think the only book I've read on your list is The Wishing Game which I read with book club. Just a little heads up, the ones who read the print version loved it more than those who listened to the audiobook

6th book finished - All Adults Here . 2 stars. ☹️

This book was not my cup of tea. Not only was the family dysfunctional, but so was the story. It was all over the place. Not what I expected and disappointed.

I love a book that keeps you thinking far after you read it, a book that just sits with you in a good way. This is one of those books. This is my second book by Meg Shaffer and I am fast becoming a big fan of hers!

Do you remember what first drew you to books as a kid? Books are magic and feeling like you're living in that magic is incredible. This book takes you back through kids falling in love with books and as adults being able to live that magic. It was heart warming, fun, thought provoking, dreamy and simply magical.

Get this book on your radar! You won't be disappointed!

I wasn't even looking at that book and then it was one of the finalists for Book of the Year for book of the month club. Alissa suggested I give it a try, she had really enjoyed it. I was hooked within a few pages and couldn't put it down. 😊

I also enjoyed this author's The Lost Story

8th book finished - A Killing Cold . 3 stars

I'm on the fence with this one. On one side it's a fast paced thriller with some twists. Most all of the twists were predictable, but still a nice touch here and there. I will say the story itself is not your average run if the mill thriller. Having said that, it was just okay for me. I've read her other books and thoroughly enjoyed them. So part of me is comparing this book to those. I would still recommend this book, the storyline is worth giving a chance.
