Denise (drams5) | 323 comments I'm trying to find my reading groove again after a busy, exhausting year. Catching up on series reads always feels like visiting old friends.

Progress: 5/12

1. Aunties, #3: The Good, the Bad, and the Aunties by Jesse Q. Sutanto
2. Vera Wong, #2: Vera Wong's Guide to Snooping on a Dead Man by Jesse Q. Sutanto
3. Women's Murder Club, #20: 20th Victim by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro
4. Women's Murder Club/Cross/Bennett crossover: Triple Homicide by James Patterson
5. Detective Sami Kierce, #2: Nobody’s Fool by Harlan Coben
6. The Woman in Cabin 10, #2: The Woman in Suite 11 by Ruth Ware
7. Noodle Shop Mysteries, #6: Killer Kung Pao by Vivien Chien
8. Assistant to the Villain, #2: Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer
9. Molly the Maid, #3: The Maid's Secret by Nita Prose
10. The Empyrean, #3: Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros
11. Agatha Raisin, #33: Devil’s Delight by M.C. Beaton
12. Castle Knoll Files, #2: How To Seal Your Own Fate by Kristen Perrin

Alternates:
1. Tita Rosie's Kitchen, #3: Blackmail and Bibingka by Mia P. Manansala
2. Charlotte Gibson Mysteries, #3: Beachside Bullet by Jasmine Webb
3. The Button Box, #2: Gwendy's Magic Feather by Richard Chizmar
4. Ground Rules Mysteries, #3: Flat White Fatality by Emmeline Duncan

Good luck catching up on series. Always a good plan.

Lea (leaspot) | 3458 comments Ooh, I love this challenge. I am hoping to catch up on Assistant to the Villain and The Empyrean this year also, but we'll see. Now that I know Ware is writing a sequel to Cabin 10, I might have to try and squeeze that one in also. I keep saying I've abandoned Molly the Maid, but if you say it is good, I may change my mind. :-)

I like Molly. The Christmas novella was a little too formulaic. I hope #3 is better.

I need to pick up the first Agatha Raisin book and just start reading it. I have yet to pick up a Richard Chizmar book and I hear he has gotten much better. Decisions, decisions.

Good luck with this list as well. ☺️

They are such quick reads. She's pretty silly, but I love these books.

She'd better fix that mess she left us in book 2. 😂

I think we all need some quick, fun reads. Reading tomes all the time or "dense" subject matter is just too much. I am considering adding more fluff to my 12+4.

Bonnie | 676 comments Many series I read there- and other authors :) Many of these have been on my prior year 12 plus 4 or Motley reading challenges.

Denise (derickert) | 1240 comments Women's Murder Club is one of my favorite series by James Patterson. I still need to start the Empyrean series. Good luck with your challenge.

I try; and you are welcome!

I'll probably do a check in quarterly, for those that haven't marked anything as read. Hopefully, everyone has notifications on. 😬

Denise (drams5) | 323 comments So far, I'm actually keeping up with this challenge. Better than last year. :)

I really liked Nobody's Fool. I wasn't sure I wanted another Sami Kierce book, but it turns out I did.

I can't. I have like 5 Harlan Coben books on my tbr. Good grief! Sami Kierce has to wait for a little while. 😩🥴

I have not read a single Harlan Coben book; but have 3 sitting on the shelf. What the fluff!???
