Side question: what music do you listen to when reading

I also listen to audiobooks and really dislike when they add music or any other sounds.
I do not read physical books while I eat at all. If I am alone at home, I may occasionally listen to an audiobook while eating.
Well, anyway, I read a chapter out of my "alphabetical challenge" book when I was eating dinner at a Chinese restaurant, and the style of music they played was Chinese.
Pleasant enough, but pretty far down the list if I were choosing. I usually listen to either an "oldies" station that plays a 60s/70s/80s mix or a station that plays Beatles song reworked as jazz, though I have listened to others.
I guess my question is what kind of music do you listen to, or do you try to get rid of background noise (including music) as much as possible. If you do listen to music, do you prefer headphones or not.
I suppose this brings up another side question as to whether or not you read when you eat, and I mean full meals, not just little snacks like a handful of nuts or a bowl of popcorn.
