Question on combining editions (same author but one author is translated)

The English version of the author name should be listed as the primary author on the Portuguese edition, and D.T. Ivo as secondary author.
When the primary author is the same, the translation can be combined with the original edition.
In order to combine two editions we need the same author or at least one author needs to be the same.
I have found an issue with a PT edition. In the original language the author is /book/show/2... (E. Z. Case)
In the PT edition, they translated the author to D. T. Ivo possibly because "E. Z. Case" makes sense in EN but not to PT readers.
The issue is: can we combine these editions? I tried but couldn't and realised it was due to the author not being the same.
Is there a way to combine or do they need to be separated?
Thanks <3
