Char :) | 54 comments I'm so dumb that sometimes, when I get a new book or I'm actively reading one, I'll start skimming through pages instead of reading from where I'm at. It's never too far into the book, but like if I'm on page 100, I might get bored and start skimming page 110 just to see. Does anyone else do this, and if so, do you know how to stop??? Or is there just something wrong with me? lol

naima k | 15 comments lol yess ur not alone dont worry! I usually do it just to see if anything interesting is actually happening so that i can have a reason to read the otherwise not-interesting book! its not rly a bad thing until you accidentally find like a plot-changing event, but like try to like picture the scene ur reading so that you keep your mind occupied and it doesnt automatically wanna peek ahead. hope that helps! 🎀

Elisabeth Fox | 13 comments There was a time in my life when I would choose a book to read based on the last page. I don't do that anymore, but I still sneak a peek at chapters I haven't read yet to see where the story is going. So I spoil myself quite often.
There's nothing wrong with you.

Melinaa Reynoso | 18 comments Yup.... I look up fan art because I do not have a great imagination and like to see what people look like... then I spoil things for myself

loll that's so real. especially with the better looking, charming, hot characters and i just need to see pictures of them. and then it says something in their description that completely spoils and im like no freaking way i just did that to myselff

Yeah, it's only really a problem when I ruin something for myself!! I've been trying to avoid outside distractions too, lol so I don't get taken out of the plot!! Thanks!!

message 10: by Liv (new)

Liv | 13 comments Yes bro 😭😭😭 I always flip to the back of the book to see the amount of pages and then the last like will be the biggest spoiler everrrrr

message 11: by Jordan (new)

Jordan | 12 comments ohh yes. like it's unhealthy at this point. I'll get to a point in the book (specially when the conflict comes along) and I'll skip to the end just to make sure everything ends up okay. 😭

message 12: by Becca (new)

Becca | 1 comments I fear I do this all the time too. You're not alone.

Cee Pinto (ceegpinto) | 102 comments I love to look at fan art to get an idea of the locations and what the characters look like and then I get a spoiler 😅 I don't mind but I feel conflicted 😅 Or as someone said, I look at the number of pages and then I get a huge spoiler!

Omg I do this!! I start looking through to see if what it will get more interesting or if I'm scared of what's happening at the part I'm at 😥

message 19: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (adayinmymediocrelife) | 59 comments I don't so much do it on accident but I do have to admit that if what I'm reading starts to give me anxiety, like if there is a big battle that I think a character may die or if there is someone I really hate that I hope they die, I will intentionally seek out spoilers to put myself at ease.

message 20: by Livlyy (new)
