I loved the concept of recounting his memories branch by branch upon the tree, and how the memories became more mature as he progressed through them, progressing through the own years of life.
I loved the fanciful descriptions of the toys, and fairy tales seeming to come to life. I particularly enjoyed that part about his being in love with Red Ridding hood.
And than I loved the snippets of the ghost stories that were recounted. Particularly the image of the woman who had drowned. I thought it was hilarious when they said they grabbed their pistols, because it reminded me of modern day horror movies when there is something supernatural and so people start getting guns, and I am just like um you really think shooting a ghost is going to work?
