Eventually there will be enough topics here that it may become hard to know if a list you're considering posting has already been posted.

I'm not sure how to work around this yet.

Groups have a Search feature, but it looks as though it only searches the body of a post and not the Topic line as well. Since most of our posts only have the series title and author in the Topic line and not in the actual body of the post, this means the search doesn't give the results we need. (I tried it)

I've posted in the GR Feedback - Suggestions folder about improving the search feature.

But for now, the only thing to do is check through the topics and see what has been posted. Or if you've got another suggestion, comment here.

So according to what I was told in the Feedback group, the search feature is specifically set up to not include searching of the Topic line.

Which makes searching it for a series useless.

One fix option is to add the series title and author inside the post itself (still keeping it in the topic to, just repeating it).

Thoughts on that?

To avoid repeating a list and to make it easier to find one, in the body of a post, please repeat the series title and author in the actual body of a post.

This will make a list findable using Search.

See the Guidelines post for more.
