Andy | 3 comments i remember reading this in primary school and it was a series about a group of friends who had adventuresand solved crimes (its definetly not the famous five) and each book was from a different ones perspective, one of the books had a girl called rachel i think get kidnapped only to figure out where they had gone later by the smell of the place, and another one about a jewel theif in a mall who was getting his message accross to his accomplice through writing on a chalk board, there was possibly a charaacter called tom, the front cover had the whole group sitting together and one kid had a leather jacket on and an authors name or a publishing company was written in cursive writing that i thin said robinson or something wherabouts, if anyone has any idea what i am talking about i would really appreciate the help

Bess (Neli) | 22 comments Are you talking about the Trixie Belden series written by Julie Campbell Tatham? It was written about a group of friends who solved mysteries they were in a club called the Bob-Whites, although Trixie was the main sleuth. There was also a character called Tom, he was like a stablehand though

Andy--a lot of the "classic" kids detective books were/still are re-issued all the time, with slightly up-dated cars/slang/clothing. (Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew are the first 2 that come to mind this way.)

How many kids were in this "club" I know you said it wasn't the Famous Five, but were you aware that Enid Blyton has a second mystery series with kids in it too? Check it out if you are familiar with the FF. :o)

Kate | 5 comments That sounds a lot like the series I read when I was younger. It was called Teen Power Inc by Emily Rodda
