I don't think any part of my state gets snow. Even though we're like, the third-largest state. And it's unnaturally warm where I am too. Right now we have spring or early summer temps, which is really weird.

AWWWWWWWW!!!!!! :P I miss summer at winter. I miss winter at summer. And now it's neither. Cold, yet NO SNOW! It's crazy!

:) Very. Yet, imagine living where I live, and the most winter you get is some frost on the roof. A couple days ago, I was hiking in the mountains by my house in a T-SHIRT AND SHORTS!!!! And you don't normally get that here. Normally it's all jeans and sweatpants, but I was able to wear shorts in the middle of December!

That's what I call crazy. :)

Name: Aine (pronounced awn + ye)

Age: 20-ish. No one knows when she was born, so she can only guess.

Gender: Female

Race: A human-avian hybrid. As in, part human, part bird. =]

Personality: Aine is the typical, keep-to-yourself type, and is generally fairly quiet. In the right situation, though, she can be as loud and/or talk a mile a minute. She can be kind of hard to get to know well, but once you do know her, she is a loyal and protective friend who is able to crack as many inside jokes in one breath as she wants. Aine can be a fairly good judge of a person in the first few minutes that she talks to them, but she has been proved wrong. When pulled into a fight, she can empty her mind and just go on a rampage, though it'll haunt her gentle-and-kind nature for days. If there's a lack of leaders, she naturally rises to the occasion.

Appearance: She's on the shorter side-- roughly 5'3"-- but that doesn't stop her from doing anything. She has a pair of tawny wings that fold neatly into her back. Much like these: She has a wingspan of roughly 13 or 14 feet. There's also a pair of Dumbledore-style glasses that she's supposed to wear all the time, but only wears sometimes because they get in the way when she's flying.

Good/Bad: Good!! =] She can be influenced, but that's only in the very most desperate of situations. Let's say, if her life depended on it, then she would become bad. But she's very difficult to pull over, and is very much one of the goods.

Background: She doesn't know who her parents were because she was taken (as an egg) and raised in a test tube and had some avian DNA put into her at that stage, giving her her wings, which she believes were from some kind of owl. So, a test tube baby. At the age of 7, angry at the scientists for performing those cruel tests on her, she away from their center and survived on scraps and alms. Sometimes, when she was a bit older, she used her powerhouse singing voice to earn money at bars and such. She's never had a permanent home, moving with the seasons, like her fellow birds.

Other: Powerhouse singer!! Nothing besides that, really. She keeps a katana-style sword strapped to her leg instead of her back so as not to restrict flight.

Crush: None....... as of now. ;]

Family: Somewhere out there, but they're as good as dead to her.

Power(s): Besides the obvious plus of flying, she can always tell what latitude and longitude she's at, and what direction she's facing.

Pets: Aine has a female white barred owl named Aednat (pronounced ey + nit), who has a length of 20 inches, weight of 1 1/2 pounds, and a wingspan of 47 inches.

Friends: Because of her constant moving, being quiet, and generally keeping all of the attention away from her, Aine doesn't really have any friends. :( That can always change, it always can.

Name: Adanat Kurapati

Age: mid-30's. He didn't wish to know his age after a certain point; it made him feel like there was a giant stopwatch that, every year, was telling him "You're one year closer to death... closer to death... closer to death."

Gender: Male.

Race: Avian-human hybrid, like Aine.

Personality: Well, on the outside, he's fairly cold, steely. He's hidden himself so well from the outside, even from himself, that he isn't truly sure of whom he is. On the inside, he's slightly hopeless, not sure if he'll ever know love. All that is known for certain about his personality is his half-stoic mask, his shield.

Appearance: He has a scar that runs across his face from his left eyebrow nearly to the base of his left ear. Whole body: Wings: Of course, porportionate to his body.

Good/Bad: Very, very good. He's the MAIN BADDIE!!!! **evil laugh**

Background: When he was 15 years old, his parents died in a fight that had filled the street. Trying to move him to safety (he was there at the time), his parents tried to find a way around, but a man who was running past, trying to break free from the fight, had thought that they were going to attack him. He had simply used a short sword he had, which ended up with the parents dead and a scar above his left eyebrow. An only child with no other family, he was distraught, and still is, though he doesn't tell anyone that. Living on the streets, he learned how to hide the real of himself away and how to expertly pick pockets. Once, Adanet had met a girl that he had fallen in love with upon sight, but he hadn't been able to keep her. She didn't even know he was there. He had made a story up about his past for all the people he knew and was yet to meet, too sad to bear the truth about the girl and his parents. Slowly but surely, he had risen up through the world of baddies, and soon found himself the main baddie in the area where he was. And that's how he got where he was, a hopeless soul still hoping for love.

Other: Late at night, when he knows that no one will barge in on him, he listens to music. The kind of music that always is great, no matter what mood you're in.

Crush: None, but that can always change. He does need someone to love, you know. ;]

Family: None. Parents: dead. Other family: nonexistant.

Power(s): Flying and mind reading-- only at a certain time of month, though...

Pets: A red-tailed hawk named Spot.

Friends: None. He doesn't have any true friends-- he's too withdrawn, too cold, too steeled to be open to friend-making.

Appearance:She has emo style purple hair with two horns sticking up. Her eyes are tr color of liquid gold. She is curvy and full chested and usually wears rather reveling clothing. On her back are two small red bat wings that can grow if she wants them to.
