A coworker at the library and I were just talking about this same thing. Why is it that if you have any interest in writing erotica, that you have to have just passed 8th grade English? A lot of the (video) porn is better-not that I would know ;P- and it even comes with the bohwn-chicka-bow-bohwn soundtrack! (Once again, not that I would know. hehe)

Now that I have said that and been negative, Jacquelyn Frank writes some steamy business (not the hotest but I haven't read The Bid yet so I'll see) and she is a great writer! Great character development and absolutely no whiny, wussy heroines.

@ Steph: Oh, I agree. The disease plotline was very interesting...when Adams actually wrote about it. It seemed like every single time Phoebe & Quinn got anywhere, Dylan would abduct her for 14 pages of sex. I would've preferred if Adams was less heavy-handed with the sexing & focused more on the disease plotline. Seriously. Look through your book & count how many times Dylan & Phoebe had sex versus how many times Phoebe worked on finding a cure.

I might have to run pick out a copy to research this...Of course, only for research, not to find out about hot-dragon-sex...
