The story is centered on the discovery of bodies in eroded cliffs by the seashore, and that is where much of the action takes place.
I discovered this series when Sandy mentioned it during the Spring Challenge, and began reading it because the setting is my local area. The locations are a mixture of real and imaginary, and one of the real ones in this book was 'Beeston Bump' - a grassy hill on the cliffs by the sea - literally five minutes walk from my house to the top of the hill!

The main character of Forgotten (by Cat Patrick) , London Lane, has been out of contact with her father since she was 6 and is trying to find him. Also, her mother is keeping a huge secret from her, and because she has a memory problem (think Drew Barrymore in 50 First Dates) she hasn't been able to figure it all out.
