Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Ha I'm trying to cut mine down. Although at the minute the only thing I'm read is about medical history :(

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12473 comments I'd probably enjoy that!

message 103: by Ruth (new)

Ruth (ruthcargill0204) | 39 comments I too have loads of books I have bought and not got round to reading. I have curbed my expenditure by buying from charity shops and I am trying to give away novels once I have finished them. I still have a huge storage problem though!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments You should see my house. The book piles are growing sub-piles...

message 105: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments I only have one storage box worth of real books. Only my favourites :D

message 106: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments bought a few today -.- oops!

message 107: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Sales don't count Elle!

message 108: by Elle (last edited Mar 30, 2012 04:58AM) (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Lol! Well in my defence, this is the first time really this year that I've bought more than one book.

I have picked up the odd daily deal or a good price drop and I also barely bought any in the winter sales

message 109: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Plus you are going into hospital today so you deserve a treat or 2 or several.

message 110: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Ha, yes Jud. I do think I'll use that excuse!

message 111: by Ruth (new)

Ruth (ruthcargill0204) | 39 comments You definitely need plenty to read in hospital, time goes so slowly otherwise. Although I did find there were times when I couldn't concentrate for long stretches on books, too many interruptions, and then puzzle books did the trick.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12473 comments I've changed the way I am reading books at the moment to try and get through my paperbook - I am half way there now, only another 261 pages to go. It might just get finished by the end of the month.

message 113: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments You can do it Desley!

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12473 comments It's really hard going unfortunately, but I'll keep going. Managed 20 pages yesterday, so if I keep that up it will be finished by the end of the month!!

message 115: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments What book is it?

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12473 comments ITs a Robbie Williams book called Feel - its the third i have read about him, i enjoyed the last two.

message 117: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Ooo I've never really read any biographies tbh

message 118: by Amos (new)

Amos Cassidy | 393 comments Amos is always telling me to read Marilyn Monroe's biography. One of these days I might just take him up on the offer.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12473 comments I quite enjoy them. Have read a David Beckham one this year too

message 120: by Ruth (new)

Ruth (ruthcargill0204) | 39 comments Last autobiography I read was Clarissa Dickson Wright's Spilling the Beans. Jolly good read. She had a dreadful time with her father. Can't remember the last biography I read.

message 121: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I have a Walt Disney one lined up... and I bought the Charles Dickens one cause it was reduced to £5.99

message 122: by [deleted user] (new)

I love reading autobiographies and memoirs - they really bring the past alive. A couple of my favourites are By Myself and Then Some, by Lauren Bacall and David Attenborough: Life on Air, but sadly neither of them are on kindle...

:0)

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12473 comments Still got over 200 pages left, been quite busy this week. And have just had more books given to me, 11 of which sound good!

message 124: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Crazy Desley! I'm near the end of another book to add to the list - but unfortunately it might make me add 4 more books as the series is just so good!

message 125: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Another one down that I haven't even added to the original list - doh!

message 126: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments What is it you are reading?

message 127: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments I just read Oceans of Fire

message 128: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments and you recommend?

message 129: by Elle (last edited Apr 16, 2012 04:10AM) (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments If you like urban fantasy/paranormal romance then I definitely recommend that series.

It's really quite brilliant.

It's about 7 sisters who are all witches. The sisters are all so unique.

message 130: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I do Elle, I do! I maybe have to add to my TBR list

message 131: by Elle (last edited Apr 16, 2012 04:19AM) (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments My favourite is Hannah. I can't wait to get to her book but it's number 5! GAH! Must read them all ASAP!!! Only thing is apparently the last book isn't a great end to the series, but the whole thing is so good I don't care at this point!

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12473 comments I had a quick count, and now have 29 paperbacks, although one is two in one. Will have to read some of those on my favourite author months, and then try and blitz some more on my paperback month, but I expect that list to be higher by then.

message 133: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Read another 2 books but both where free, doh!

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12473 comments Yippee - I've finally finished my Robbie Williams book!!! My next paperback is Dereck Longdon, then another 29, although I am reading paperbacks only in Sept.

message 135: by Elle (last edited May 12, 2012 01:23PM) (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Mine isn't such a mess anymore, but hopefully by next week there will be 7 books to my read list!

message 136: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Elle, that's amazing!

message 137: by Elle (last edited May 13, 2012 04:52AM) (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Or terrifying, either one!

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12473 comments I have nearly finished my Deric Longden book and have a paperback lined up for next week so should be down to 27

message 139: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Brilliant Desley!

message 140: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Another 1 down!

Kiss of Crimson

message 141: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments Another book down!

Although.. er.. another few books added since I hadn't bothered to update it in a while, oops!

message 142: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments I might whip of those Karen Rose ones.

I put them up in the hope that'll read them even though it was my Aunt who bought them but just too many other great things to read in the time being!

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12473 comments Another one read but unfortunately We went and collected some more books on Wed, so another 15 to read! We better do some fundraising soon tho, i have about 100 books for selling in the front room. I should read the book on the Wests next - i have had it about 3 years and been putting it off even though i like true life crime. If i can't get into it this time i will put it in the sale pile.

message 144: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments I love true life crime but generally I like to watch documentaries more than read about it. Sometimes authors just do my head in with their commentary about it!

Good luck with reading! :D

message 145: by Ruth (new)

Ruth (ruthcargill0204) | 39 comments Looks like you are all making good progress. I am reading as fast as I can, but I still manage to acquire books faster than I can read them - and now I have a kindle I don't stand a chance!

message 146: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments I feel like any true reader will always have TBR pile much bigger than they can cope with!

I just want to have one that isn't made up of so many paid books :p

message 147: by Elle (last edited May 22, 2012 09:16AM) (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments ive now decided to take out all books i didn't personally pay for even if i do want to read them!

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12473 comments HOW many will that take it down by?

message 149: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Probably best not to ask, she'll be counting forever

message 150: by Elle (new)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments lol
