I just did a quick survey of the web and there still doesn't seem to be any suggestion of when this will appear. She's been working on it steadily for a while now. As you can imagine from the complexity of the writing/story-lines, there's a lot of rewriting involved! I just finished The Year of the Flood and re-read Oryx & Crake immediately afterwards. It'd be wonderful if #3 came out before I forget the details again, but hey -- I'll just have to read them both again if that happens, which won't be a bad thing!

Amazon shows this is available for preorder now. To be released on 9/3/13

It is difficult to find any information on this book. However, according to my own search, it could be out Fall 2013. I'm honestly not sure how reliable these are, but I tried!

Then I found this randomly:

“Bearlift�, new fiction by Margaret Atwood, appears in the first edition of Arc, available in late February 2012. It’s an eerie exploration of the near future, drawn from her new novel, Maddaddam, the third book in the triptych that began with Oryx and Crake. And we do mean new: our extract from Maddaddam is hot off Atwood’s printer: the finished novel won’t be out until 2013.

So take it or leave it, but it puts my mind at ease. I can deal with about a year's wait. I don't think I could wait until 2015!

Oryx and Crake was published in 2003, YOTF in 2009. If we extrapolate, shouldn't we assume we won't see Part 3 until 2015?

According to Margaret Atwood's twitter, the book will be released late August/early September of this year.

Amazon is now saying September 3, 2013. I don't want to wait that long!!

It comes out in just a few days! I've read a pre-release copy and it's spectacular.
