Duchess Nicole | 154 comments LOL! Hey, Girl! I'm reading The Theory of Attraction by Delphine Dryden . Been looking for (apparently) VERY light BDSM, and this book is doing the trick. Nothing has freaked me out yet, and I'm really loving Ivan the sexy nerd-Dom.

Tammy | 395 comments I'd never heard of the "Hey Girl" thing...I am a fan of Ryan Gosling :)

@ Duchess Nicole, The Theory of Attraction by Delphine Dryden sounds good, adding it to my to-read list

Abby | 70 comments So... I know not EVERYONE celebrates Christmas but for those of us that do, such as myself... this stuff is REALLY starting to piss me off...

Some Canadian author has rewritten the T'was the Night before Christmas ... And Santa no longer smokes a pipe.... I wish they'd leave him alone... It's bad enough they're wanting to abolish the word "Christmas" but now they're wanting to make Santa not smoke a pipe.. and I can see them eventually wanting to make him skinny.... Out here they're wanting to rename the Santa Clause parade as the Holiday parade...

Am I the only one that this political correctness is starting to piss off? Here's the article on it

...

Yeah, I have some issues with them taking the Christmas out of the Holiday season as well. I think if you don't celebrate it, no big deal, but I don't think that it should be minimized just because some don't celebrate it.

♡Meme♡Reads love♡ | 203 comments I remember back probably like 7 years ago when I use to work for Lancome in the mall when it came to December they told us to start saying Happy Holidays to the customers and not say Merry Christmas. I refused and kept saying Merry Christmas to everyone I helped even my Boss. :) Gonna tell me what I can and cant say uh yeah right...

Yeah, it can get pretty ridiculous with the PC thing. I respect if people don't celebrate, but it is a big holiday. It's not like there should be a black hole on December 25th.

message 209: by Gwen (new)

Gwen (gwenk) | 161 comments I agree with all of your points. The other night when I watched the news and saw that take on "Twas The Night Before Christmas," I almost fell over. All I could think was "what is next?" If Clement Clark Moore has any living relatives, I'd love to hear what they'd have to say.

Also, have a safe and fun Halloween for all who participate in the festivities.

Have a good week off, Lily. Those are all good books!

We got our outside Christmas decorations up yesterday. My friend Mike is a godsend!

I've got a long list of stuff to get done this week, but I am not going to freak out or be stressed about it!

Just wanted to say that the new group header is nice - nice as in my eyeballs practically just fell out of my head. Yum. Very many thanks to whoever is responsible.

Hope everyone's having a lovely festive season and that 2013 brings health, happiness and an abundance of hot heroes!

So I went to the library today, and it was crazy. I realize that I am irrevocably in love with books! I thought it was just the buying books thing that is the issue, but it's just wanting to read all the books period.

I have to say that our library is so wonderful. They actually do a good job of getting new books very often, and their audiobook collection is out of this world.

I don't want to be cured of my book addiction, but it's just bad!

We are getting a new library building sometime in the near future. Hubby just saw something about the library moving to a temporary location while they do the building. I'm excited!

Being bored is the worst. Try a different book or pop in an exercise DVD if you're at home.

Savannah (skyswriting) | 65 comments Hello everyone =) Libraries to this day are still my favorite place to be. I just don't go as often as I'd like to anymore, and I have also a knack to buy books more than anything, have a miniature library going on myself, lol, my collection was more vast when I was younger, but I moved so much, I had to part with most of them =(

I'm sorry about that, Sky. It's hard to part with your books...

message 236: by Savannah (new)

Savannah (skyswriting) | 65 comments It is =x I've talked the man into letting my turn one of our offices when we get the new house, into a "book wall" lol just shelf after shelf on the wall. He says I might cave the house in lol. I refuse to get rid of anybooks again, guess you can call me a book hoarder lol.

How are you, Lady D?

You're not alone in your book hoarder tendencies. I have bookshelves in more than one room in my house. And my collection continues to grow.

I'm doing okay. Thanks for asking, Sky!

message 238: by Savannah (new)

Savannah (skyswriting) | 65 comments I'm afriad I will never be able to stop, going to see shelves start wrapping outside and around the house haha. I'm glad =D Good to see still some people on this late too! My man is out like a light right now with the help of some meds from the doc today, figured I'd sneak on here a bit, was getting bored =((

I hate when people ask that :( I LOVE buying books hehe.. I love getting lost in all of these stories, while reading them it's like playing a little movie in my head.

Danny (Hope u don't mind me calling you that.) I tried. I first tried to finish some more of my Series Strikethrough challenge list....But I had keep re-reading the sentence and I still couldn't concentrate on what I was reading.

And exercising! I'm the laziest person on the planet there ever is.

Know what I finally did? I burrowed my head in my pillow and slept straight for 4 hours. :)

You probably needed a nap, Lhethal. I get sleepy when I'm bored too. I hate being bored. Fortunately, I don't get bored that often.

Krystle, I am a visual person too. I see books as movies all the time.

Sky, I love movies too, but books are my first love.

I get bored if I'm stuck somewhere without a book and there's nothing else to keep my interest. Usually if I'm at home, I can find something to occupy me.
