So... I know not EVERYONE celebrates Christmas but for those of us that do, such as myself... this stuff is REALLY starting to piss me off...

Some Canadian author has rewritten the T'was the Night before Christmas ... And Santa no longer smokes a pipe.... I wish they'd leave him alone... It's bad enough they're wanting to abolish the word "Christmas" but now they're wanting to make Santa not smoke a pipe.. and I can see them eventually wanting to make him skinny.... Out here they're wanting to rename the Santa Clause parade as the Holiday parade...

Yeah, I have some issues with them taking the Christmas out of the Holiday season as well. I think if you don't celebrate it, no big deal, but I don't think that it should be minimized just because some don't celebrate it.

I remember back probably like 7 years ago when I use to work for Lancome in the mall when it came to December they told us to start saying Happy Holidays to the customers and not say Merry Christmas. I refused and kept saying Merry Christmas to everyone I helped even my Boss. :) Gonna tell me what I can and cant say uh yeah right...

Yeah, it can get pretty ridiculous with the PC thing. I respect if people don't celebrate, but it is a big holiday. It's not like there should be a black hole on December 25th.

I agree with all of your points. The other night when I watched the news and saw that take on "Twas The Night Before Christmas," I almost fell over. All I could think was "what is next?" If Clement Clark Moore has any living relatives, I'd love to hear what they'd have to say.

So I went to the library today, and it was crazy. I realize that I am irrevocably in love with books! I thought it was just the buying books thing that is the issue, but it's just wanting to read all the books period.

I have to say that our library is so wonderful. They actually do a good job of getting new books very often, and their audiobook collection is out of this world.

I don't want to be cured of my book addiction, but it's just bad!

We are getting a new library building sometime in the near future. Hubby just saw something about the library moving to a temporary location while they do the building. I'm excited!

That is very exciting. I honestly have loved libraries since I was very young. I really hope that brick and mortar libraries stand the test of time.

I love going to libraries and now even more 'cos theere is coffee machine in our library...swoon (in sheer delight)...

Hello everyone =) Libraries to this day are still my favorite place to be. I just don't go as often as I'd like to anymore, and I have also a knack to buy books more than anything, have a miniature library going on myself, lol, my collection was more vast when I was younger, but I moved so much, I had to part with most of them =(

I manage to get all my books a home on shelves, and then I bring home more....

I have a long list of books I "need" to go get, but I know, unlike grocery shopping, I will indeed get everything on the list, but then also extras lol. See, that's why I love this site, people who understand lol!

Danny (Hope u don't mind me calling you that.) I tried. I first tried to finish some more of my Series Strikethrough challenge list....But I had keep re-reading the sentence and I still couldn't concentrate on what I was reading.

And exercising! I'm the laziest person on the planet there ever is.

Know what I finally did? I burrowed my head in my pillow and slept straight for 4 hours. :)

@ Lily...I did try some coffee, the rest I skipped and instead grabbed my Zzzs! :)

Krystle, I am a visual person too. I see books as movies all the time.

Sky, I love movies too, but books are my first love.

How was everyone's weekend? I was working on Valentine cards. I started making cards a few years ago, and it's a very absorbing hobby. So I didn't even turn my computer on for like four days.

Danielle, I'm perpetually bored when am not reading or watching some movie/series :(
And I guess sleep is the only remedy for my kinda boredom :|

I get bored if I'm stuck somewhere without a book and there's nothing else to keep my interest. Usually if I'm at home, I can find something to occupy me.
