What will you be reading this week?

I'm reading The Boy in the Suitcase. I hope to have a lot of reading time today to devote to this book. There are a lot of characters introduced in alternating chapters. It really has my attention so far.

Mary, that looks really good! I put it on my TBR list.

I'm almost finished with The Gin & Chowder Club. It's a light quick summery read. Next up is The First day of the Rest of My Life.

Mary I have had several friends love that book. I almost bought it at bookstore Saturday but am trying to wait till the library gets it! I just finished my Perrotta book and the Anne Rule one and also re-read the first two Hunger Games and now I have no idea what to pick up!

I'm almost finished with Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain by Portia de Rossi. It's good, and it makes me like de Rossi more; I never did care much for her. I finished The Night Circus before this. Took me way too long to get through that book, and I feel like I wasted my time on it since I didn't enjoy it. :( I also have one chapter left in The Sociopath Next Door. After this, I'm still not sure what I'll read. Anyone feel like looking at my tbr list and suggesting something?

Stacey, I looked at this book at the library, but put it back on the shelf. How do you like it?

The Wild Rose. I was in the mood for something sprawling, and this looks like it.

I'm currently reading The Pain Nurse which is pretty good so far. Tomorrow I may start listening to Bossypants while I work on a stitching project.

I'm reading Small Gods at the moment and am thoroughly enjoying it, its definitely one of his funnier ones so far :-)

I decided to turn to my go to when I've read too much intense stuff...young adult books. Picked up, "Great and Terrible Beauty," at the library today. Anyone read it? I'm still going to read another Anne Rule in between. Also I defeated whole purpose or half purpose of library books by caving and getting two books on Amazon. (At least it wasn't the 6 I wanted?) I told Stacey, "At least I bought groceries first!"

I went to the bookstore first and then what's left on groceries, lol! Well, Fifty Shades of Grey is only available on ereaders until 4/3 when the pb comes out.

Cyndi-Rebecca is one of my favorites! I reread it every few years. Vicky-yes I do like my adult chick lit too but am in a ya mood. And Stacey-yes that's why I couldn't order it till now! No ereader here. I shouldn't say never but from what I can tell that won't be for me. I love to hold my books.

Leslie first time reading Rebecca...like it so much already. I just received a Nook Tablet from my family and though I too enjoy the feel of abook, it so rocks! Still exploring it.

I finished up Island of the Sequined Love Nun over the weekend. Got a book of short stories We're In Trouble from PBS and I've read a few of them. They all deal with death and I need something a little lighter right now! Tomorrow I will pick up Carry the One from the library. Maybe it will grab me. BTW, what is our genre for April?

I get to pick up my copy of the new Maisie Dobbs mystery today!

I'm curious what you think of this one. I always read her books, but I don't rush out to get them anymore.

I thought it was good but it seems they all involve a courtroom which is getting old.

I just finished Dreamcatcher, so I am ready for something else. What is the genre for April?

I have started on a new e-book entitled Blessed Child, about a mixed race child who grew up to the age of 10 in a monastary in Ethiopia. He is then rescued and taken to America where he takes up residence in an Orthodox orphanage. It is a Christian suspense fiction written by Ted Dekker and Bill Bright. I'm only on page 79, but it seems very fast paced and not too "churchy". I think anyone with an open mind would enjoy it.

Vicky - some I would suggest are Susan Wittig Albert's China Bayles series, JoAnna Carl's Chocoholic series, Kate Collins's Flower Shop series, Cleo Coyle's Coffee House series for just a few. I could go on & on...

Joanna Campbell Slan scrapbooking series is really good. Jenn McKinlay cupcake bakery series.

Stacey, thanks for mentioning Joanna's series. You were quicker than I was!

Joanna's first book in a new series, the Jane Eyre Chronicles, will be out this summer.

And she just signed on to pick up writing an already-established series, but the name escapes me right now. She is turning into the Queen of the Cozies!

I absolutely love Susan Wittig Albert's series, Liz. My sister has used many of her recipes.

This week I'm tackling Nomad Diaries and The Glass Castle. The Glass Castle is for a book club.
