I confess after reading my first Redwall book I was careful not to step on any little animals and watch them closely to see if they were on a quest.

Yeah, I still love re-reading my old fairytales and bedtime stories my mom used to read to me. The stories you hear when you're little just stick with you. :)

A few of them are really deep, but the plot is mostly the same. However the charters are so lovable. But I will always recommend them to kids because they are easy to read and just plain good fun adventure books.

Yeah, after you've read about two or three, you can pretty much guess the plots of the other ones...but I agree, they're still really good, fun reads. :)

Who else gets incredibly hungry when reading these books? Sometimes I feel like Jacques spent 50% of the books describing delicious feasts!

You know that there is a Redwall cookbook...:) And yeah, every time I read about the feasts, my mouth starts watering. :)
