Jael ~ *~ Syhren ~* ~ (wwwgoodreadscomprofilejael) LOL@nichole. So true I'm overwhelmed with books .If not for the challenge i wouldn't know what to read next.

Jess | 3721 comments Nichole and Jael - I agree.. I have let me see here, 13 books sitting on my nightstand waiting, and god only knows how many on my shelves that have been squirreled away for a rainy day.

I like options :)

message 303: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I never know what I will read next I think it will be one book and if it is slow I will co read that with another then I keep doing that until one snags me and then I do it all over again.

That sounds like I have ADD for reading LOL

Jess I love having a stack of books to read at some given time

Heh. Clearly I don't buy enough. Must try harder. You guys are what I aspire to--groaning bookshelves!

message 305: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I am reading this book called Demon's Kiss by Eve Silver. Has anyone read this?? So far it is ok moves kind of slow and we seem privy to a great deal of their thoughts - not sure if this is annoying or not.

I am also reading Gideon the second book in Jacquelyn Frank's Nightwalker series. I liked Jacob and this book is proving to be good as well.

However with all this PNR I need a little urban fantasy to balance it LOL

Hi lori::how are you getting on with a*A Rush of Wings*::i've just started reading it for the second time::as i've read *In the Blood* the re-read is even more heartbreaking than the first read::

message 307: by [deleted user] (new)

Heart breaking? Nobody warned me that Rush of Wings was heartbreaking. I'm am not quite half way through...pathetic I know, but I just finished up school semester this week and had finals and all that. Anyway, I am really liking it. It took a chapter or two for me to get into it, but it moves really quick. I feel like I may have to reread it before IN the Blood though, because there are so many characters and twists and I tend to read too quickly and not pay attention and then I get confused.

See now, Lori. You were all anxious and concerned and thought it might be crappy. Would we knowingly steer you wrong?

I know exactly what you mean on the reading too quickly. I'm going to re-read it myself before moving to the second book!

Glad it's turned out okay for you!

message 309: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments I just finished reading Wild Rain by Christine Feehan, which is a part of her leopard series. And I'm going to be starting Forbidden Nights with a Vampire by Kerrelyn Sparks

message 310: by [deleted user] (new)

I know Michelle. I promise not to question my good read friends from here on out. I have gotten into so many books that I would never have picked up without recommendations from gr friends. I've discovered that I actually like urban fantasy (that's right, not every vamp needs a HEA) and there's my new m/m addiction...thank you Lori. So, yes, Rush of Wings is wonderful so far and I apologize for every thinking that you guys could steer me wrong ; )

Adrienne lori::it's the things that were done to Dante that break your heart::pg50 is just a an example::

message 312: by Anne (new)

Anne (booklover6) I'm reading Bone Crossed which I was able to get from the library! Great book. I just love Mercy. Also reading Lions and Tigers and Bears a shifter anthology. I plan to start Bitten when I am done with Bone Crossed.

message 313: by Nichole (DirrtyH) (new)

Nichole (DirrtyH) (dirtyh) Oh, I'm reading Bitten right now and it's GREAT. I know a book's good when it beckons from the night stand in the morning and makes me late for work... I only have 60 pages left.

message 314: by Adrienne (new)

Adrienne i picked up a copy of *Dime Store Magic from the charity shop::i now realize this is no. 3 in the series::alot of people seem to like Bitten::i've now added it to my TBR list::

message 315: by [deleted user] (new)

Just finished A Rush of Wings, and yes Dante's history is heartbreaking, but I really love books that have strong emotions. I don't mind if they aren't all happy emotions. I thought it was a great book. I can't wait to get through some of my tbr pile, so I can justify picking up In The Blood.

I think both Bitten and Stolen were amazing. I love the characters she created in Clay and Elena. I'm slowly making my way through the rest of the series so that I can get back to a Clay and Elena book. =)

I got the first 3 books in the LOTU series from my LIB in Large print. So it's in print. They have alot of erotic romance and PNR in Large Print at my local LIB. Hmm.

Hayley | 7 comments DarkHeart I bought Glass Houses, loved it.
You're right about the cliffhanger endings!!!
I'm awaiting Dead Girls Dance :)

message 320: by Mary (Biblophile) (new)

Mary (Biblophile) I am currently reading Wraith by Phaedra Weldon. So far it's okay but haven't gotten that far.

I'm also reading Changeling by Yasmine Galenorn and I wonder why! I keep reading this series and really don't like it. Something about the writing drives me crazy. I am going to stop putting them on my wishlist since I don't really care for them.

Sarah will you let me know what you think about that one I just finished it. Personally I liked it.

Yay! I absolutely love that series. I love the different personalities of all of the Glass House residents, and the fact that they're all so likeable, even with their flaws. I also like the way vamps aren't really the good guys in the is one - they're romanticized in so many of the series I read, it's nice to have the change of pace. I impatiently await the release of Carpe Corpus in June!

Jael ~ *~ Syhren ~* ~ (wwwgoodreadscomprofilejael) Morganville Vamps is defintely better than alot of YA vamp series. I like how the pace moves on and each book pick right up from where the last left off.

Sarah | 766 comments I just got a notice that Jeaniene Frost is going to be on Authors on Air tomorrow at 2 PM for an hour-long interview, along with Terri Garey, Pamela Palmer, Jamie Rush, and Kerrelyn Sparks. The interview should also be on iTunes later.

Irene Hollimon | 130 comments I just started Twilight [image error] Truthfully, I wasn't attracted to it at first. The Descriptions indicate young adult and I'm 45- the teenage angst thing doesn't do it for me. I want blood, sex and gore- but not too much horror- it's a delicate balance- But, I see this book keep coming up on the reviews and it keeps coming up on book lists and like every one seems to be ga ga over it
So I just gotta see what all the fuss is about.

I've always wondered that as well about large print. I read them in large print when I can't find the book I want in normal size font. I got the last in the Meredith Gentry series in large print, but it seemed thinner.. weird.

Right now I'm reading Girl with the dragon tattoo and also I'm about to start Down ad Dirty by Sandra Hill

message 331: by [deleted user] (new)

Just finished Soul Mates Bound by Blood. Lots of hot m/m, vampy, wolf lovin. I have the next two in the series and am sure that I will read on. Although I will have to wait a bit while I finsih up some challenge books.

message 332: by Irene (new)

Irene Hollimon | 130 comments I've been reading Twilight to see what all the fuss is about and I've snarking it in some of the threads because for some reason it just keeps hitting my bullshit meter- I don't think I'll ever be a Twilight fan- but it is getting better. Right now Edward is leaning against a wall "looking more like a Greek god than anyone had a right to" He may only be seventeen- but that kind of makes this 45 year old lady's heart flutter.

message 333: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments Still reading Girl with a Dragon Tattoo - and not that it's not interesting.. but I'd rather be reading a PNR or something lol. But I must finish it, I'm doing it for a TBR challenge in another group. It's been clogging up my mountain of a TBR list for a year now!!

message 334: by Sarah (new)

I'm just about finished with Jacob. I have enjoyed it very much, and I will definitely continue the series. I like the relationships, and I think milk as a demon intoxicant is funny. :)

If you have any intention of watching the Mist movie, do so BEFORE you read the novella that opens Skeleton Crew... else you'll really HATE HATE HATE the movie.
