Would anyone be interested in doing any contests or events? Please, comment and say "yea" or "nay". If the answer is yes, please feel free to submit ideas here! We want to know what you think.

um...uh... i ....dunno :D it wasn't my idea, but if you want it, i guess i'm here to serve the whims of the group... however rarely i remember to come on this group >.<

Contests: Nay.
Events: Yeah!

I don't really understand the point of contests. In other groups, all you do is get mentioned in a message or something. I think you don't need a reward if the contest is just to see if you can write more than others. To be able to write 100 pages should be good enough. (That's just a competition in another group.) A def no to contests. I don't think I made sense in the comment. Oh well...

Contests: They can be good. Maybe, however, something more along the lines of a challenge: we're given a prompt or word count and theme, and we've gotta fill in.
Events: What kind were you thinking, Anuhea?

I don't know. I don't really like writing contests. They make me feel like I'm under TONS of pressure.

I didn't mean a contest. I meant a challenge: some prompt or idea, but no winner, just a bunch of happy writers.

YEAH! I like that idea! I think I ate too many jellybeans. But, at least I'm not hyper. The only that that makes me REALLY hyper is when my friends go crazy and I join in.

No ideas. In my brain, the challenge folder has a blank sheet of paper in it.

Well there are a number a created writing contest groups that have topics to choose from if you are maybe wanting to vent your energy with the likes in the similar theme as your other contenders.

I'm not really a contest person either. However, the challenge thing sounds good.

There are groups like that. And if this groups decides that too, that's fine too. I know you can have just as much fun in other contest groups too. Do you want a hyperlink to a few of the contest groups Joanne?

These are interesting. There are other groups available. You just search the site from the groups page to find all the groups to be interested in.
