I cannot believe I haven't read Samantha Young's books sooner...I am almost finished with Moonspell and LOVE IT!!!! I have already bought the next two books in the series!! :)

Same thing for me! I enjoy these reading challenges helps give me the nudge i need to read certain books.

That was the way I felt about the Soul Screamers series. I had won the whole series from Fiktshun and it wasn't until 6 months later when she held a challenge that I finally read them.
I love everything Sam has written. My very favorite is Slumber. You guys will love book 2. xx

Beware of spoilers! This is such an awesome book by an author. Samantha Young's books always keep me enthralled and wanting me! Seriously though where's my lykan! LOL!

Finished it and loved it, this is the first book I have read of Samantha Young's and I am impressed. I am not a great review writer and generally don't write them unless I love a book, this book is most deserving.

Wow! Loving all your comments and the reviews are great! FYI, Sam will be around on Saturday, the 24th, to chat and answer questions. She's in Scotland, so be aware there's a big time difference for most of us, don't be discouraged if you don't hear from her right away- she'll get to you. She's awesome like that.

Answer in your in time and let's hear your gut reactions to Lucien and his feelings and treatment of Caia. How about this...how you did his actions make you feel before,during and after they are privately mated? Were you angry, hurt or disappointed by him or were you able to understand and empathize with his nature as Alpha?

At first, I just thought Lucien was being protective but as I realized he truly had feelings for Caia at times I just wanted to say, just tell her already!!! I understand that he had his position as Alpha to fulfill, but he did frustrate me at times!

Well I think Lucien truly wanted to ease her into her destiny- it wasn't to intentional hurt or deceive her..and he was just as confused and overwhelmed by his unexpected feelings for Caia. I believe he did his best to make things easier for her, and put her first (before the pack) in several instances without quite realizing what he was doing. He accepted behavior from her that he wouldn't put up with from anyone else, was tender with her and defended her- as a mate would. He loved her and 'wanted' her.. I was devasted by her interpretation at their 'mating' as a crime. Her rejection was humiliating and honestly, I am still angry with her. (told ya- emotional babbler..that's me!)

The instance where he forgot to tell her they were betrothed until after they "accidentally" mated, that was a GIGANTIC mistake for Lucien. Although I thought Caia was a little harsh in her decisions after that.

I agree Sheri, I got so FRUSTRATED at Caia! I almost felt the need to defend Lucien myself...(sometimes I forget myself and think I have a say in the matter!)

I found myself pissed off at Lucien the majority of the time...I was felt like you Joella...Just get over it and tell her already!! Quit being such a pig headed Alpha!!
I was so excited about their mating and then BAM...he goes all Alpha again...Being bossy..."Me Tarzan...You Jane" mentality...UGH!!!
But, I understand how he wanted to protect his pack, but being honest would have saved some heartache...HA!!!
Sheri, I agree with you too!! HE definitely put up with more from her than anyone else and while I know he was trying his best to protect her...he had to remember, this is his mate...allow her the choices she should be able to make..

Anna, I totally agree with you about the accidentally being mated and how Caia reacted...I actually wanted to slap the girl and say..."Wake up and realize you got the guy!!" But, he pissed me off being his bossy self... HA!!

I was mad at him quite often... I understand within reason protecting the pack and all. at least at first. But he definitely should have told her about the mating sooner. He already knew he could trust her and knew they had feelings for each other and he also knew how badly she was hurt when she found out they were keeping so many secrets from her. But sadly some men just don't think rationally.. not in real life either lol But yes I do agree she acted a bit harsh about it. He did put up with a lot more then he would have from anyone else but at the same time had he let her in on a bit more he may not have had to put up with it so much,

at the reception when Lucien and Caia had that heated moment outside and Caia exploded all the plumbing....lol I LOVED that, so cute <3
