I had the most difficult time with Carry on, Jeeves! In the first place, I had definitely intended to read it for the 'England' visit on my itinerary, because what could be more English than Jeeves and Wooster, right? So, imagine my concern when I start reading chapters in the book where Bertie is staying in New York City for an extended visit! And, then, just when I think he's safely back in England, another chapter begins with him on a visit to Paris! Thankfully, it did turn out that more than 50% of the book is set in England. On top of that, I began by reading the book as an audio download from my library. It didn't say that it was abridged, but it turned out to only include seven of the ten stories. So, I found an audio version on CD, which, although it also did not say 'Abridged', also turned out to not include all of the stories - but, the stories included were a slightly different set from the download version, so, I managed to pick up one more chapter that way. Finally, I acquired a print copy, and was able to read the remaining two stories that I had been missing! Phew!

As a fun coincidence, while working on this post, my son arrived back from his usual Saturday morning visit to a local coffee shop, bringing me back a coffee as he usually does. The type he brings varies depending on what they have available from week to week. Today it is a Kenya light roast, which I think happily coincides with the posting of points for The Crocodile's Last Embrace :)
