Have You Read?
Second on my tbr pile. Since school for teachers has resumed (students start next Wednesday), my reading time is reduced. I'll get to it soon. Definitely before the end of August.
Has the next person read:
The Hunger Games (Hunger Games, Book 1) by Suzanne Collins

Nope, but I hope to get to James Patterson some day. I'll probably start with the first Alex Cross book.

Have you read The Enchantment Emporium by Tanya Huff?

Nope, couldn't get past the schlocky movie to want to read the book.
Have you read A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, Book 1) by Deborah Harkness

Haven't read it.
Have you read Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy

Yes, Tess is one of my all time favorite classics. Read it over 40 years ago as an undergraduate in college. I'll keep your comments in mind Someoneyouknow.
Ender's Game (Ender's Saga, Book 1) by Orson Scott Card

HNR that or Ender's Game but hope to get to both before the year is out.
LOVED A Discovery of Witches and I'm not that much into this Vampire love genre but I just downloaded the second book.

HYR A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini

HYR Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace ... One School at a Time and/ or Three Cups of Deceit: How Greg Mortenson, Humanitarian Hero, Lost His Way?.

HYR Snow Flower and the Secret Fan By Lisa See? Did it make you cry if you did?

I read Three Cups of Tea and bought copies for some of my reading pals but now I'm scared to read the Three cups of Deceit.

Rebekah, I read Three Cups of Deceit: How Greg Mortenson, Humanitarian Hero, Lost His Way in one day. Krakauer wrote it because he felt duped by Mortenson, formerly his friend and fellow mountain climber. Krakauer is a very good writer. Why scared?
HYR Gone With the Wind?

I'm scared it will make a hero of mine fall and there just doesn't see to be enough heros lately. :(
Snow flower is similar in that it is about the Chinese culture of women but this is based in China in the narrative of a woman who endured footbinding as a sign of beauty.
HYR The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde?

HNR, but hope to start the Fever series soon.
