it was amazing
4.5 stars rounded up. This was an immensely readable book, which was exactly what my brain needed. It keeps at a nice clip and I really liked the dual timelines and the balance between the two parts of the story. I thought that the modern timeline did escalate a little too abruptly to be really believable, but I'm coming to learn that "plausibility" isn't really a factor in thrillers.
