This book is about Boy, who is a girl abused by her father and rubs away to Flax Hill. She meets a widower with a daughter named Snow, and Boy then marries and has a child with the widower (Arturo) named Bird. We get the perspective of the titular Boy and Bird and the occasional voice of Snow. While there are certainly elements of Snow White in this novel, what this book really explores is, of course, power in beauty and more specifically outward ...more
