it was amazing
This was the perfect first book of the year.
As with Winter’s Orbit, Maxwell blends intriguing political unrest and army dynamics with delicious chemistry between the main characters. Tennal and Surit are so funny and relatable in their own ways and I love the way their relationship develops as they go through hell and back together.

really liked it
Despite the fact that the execution of this is very simple, this is a gem of a graphic novel. Never before has a love story made me so emotional so fast. I wish it was more fleshed out, the dialogue in particular, but it was still beautiful.
