The Fury by Alex Michaelides

Aliza’s first review of the year

it was ok
Disappointed. Characters did things that made absolutely it let no goddamn sense, especially at the very end. The narration style left much to be desired, and was overall very poor. (Though maybe this is due to the narrator sucking at writing?) The Silent Patient was incredibly mind-blowing for me, The Maidens less so, and this third book has left me irritated and wondering if I’ll purchase another work by AM.

Aliza’s last review of the year

it was ok

I’m irritated. This could have been so much MORE. I thought we were getting a sort about the horrors of misogyny and fickle media and how easily we cast aside others but noooooooo. These men SUCK and now I’m supposed to feel sorry for them????? Girl, don’t get me started on the random third-act transphobia and how apparently she wanted that terrible thing to happen??? Oh, and we also shoehorned in some weird drive to procreate, she has to have a
