this is so much more than just a body horror book.
i just spent the last 30 minutes violently sobbing my eyes out in my dorm bathroom praying nobody would come in, seeing me in that state. i can’t even remember the last time i cried that hard about something REAL. the troop is not only plot driven, but character driven as well which is what really sold me

Tomie by Junji Ito

kira’s last review of the year

liked it
*3.5
junji ito blessed my eyes w 700 pages of his artwork so that was cool but this one i can easily say was my least fave of his work so far! even though i still enjoyed it, it was pretty repetitive & just not as creepy or disturbing as his other works in my opinion. still a fun read, about an iconic character, with a few stories in there that rlly stood out to me! can’t wait to read gyo next (bought with my credit card points WOOOO)
