really liked it
This one is hard for me to review. I loved the story. It was different, genre-bending and not at all what I was expecting. And I love to be surprised. I came for the romance and stayed for the history and setting (Harlem, both modern and 1920's). The history was fascinating, though at times heavy. *Trigger Warnings for racism, racial violence, lynchings, suicide, and drug addiction* Every historical bit had me absolutely captivated.
