it was amazing
For a young readers book, there are a lot of life lessons to be learned. Some of the subject matter was kind of mature for a young reader, but I see young middle schooler definitely relating to Max. I related a lot to Max. I grew up being bullied about my teeth. My patience couldn’t afford to get my teeth fixed, but now as a 34 year old adult, I can pay for my own braces and maybe jaw surgery down the line. I honestly really enjoyed this book.
