it was amazing
I was trepidatious about Stephen Fry's narration after being so used to Jim Dale's work on Harry Potter and loving it so much. I'm pleased to say I'm a fan of Fry now and can listen to either one without a problem. ...more

Churchill by Andrew Roberts

Philip’s last review of the year

it was amazing
An outstanding work of biography covering one of history’s most significant men. Roberts does a terrific job weaving Churchill’s life into a compelling and often amusing narrative, which of course is a credit to Churchill’s singular existence.
