The Lost World of Genesis One by John H. Walton

David’s first review of the year

it was amazing
Compelling take on how to understand and interpret the creation account that goes a long way towards solving the science vs. faith debate that Christians deal with.

David’s last review of the year

it was amazing
Fascinating explanation of how to look at Gen 2-3 as the ancient world might view them. Gen 1 is about God ordering a sacred space with the goal of being in relationship with us. Gen 2-3 is about the entry of disorder in this sacred space, the world. These chapters are not concerned with giving us an account of human origins. This book gives Christian’s a way to hold on to faith and science.
