What a thrilling journey! Five stars all the way for all the twists, turns, and unexpected surprises.
I loved the ending and actually gasped at one of the final (unexpected yet beautiful) revelations at the end.

This was my first read of O’Reilly’s Killing series, and I already can’t wait to read another. It was full of INTERESTING history that kept me wanting to read more, and no joke, even the footnotes were interesting to read. The footnotes really read more as fun facts.
I very much enjoyed this book and highly recommend, especially if you like historical narratives.
