The tension is rising and falling like waves reaching the beach. All in all it is still interesting.

A Golden Age Mystery. I like Annie Haynes' style a lot. The story is not the ordinary murder mystery plot and the main character is a doctor. Not sure when it takes place as no year is mentioned. I assume it is set before WW I.

Pyke is such a dogged character. If necessary he even travel to Jamaica!
