Oh jeez, here's Tomitake again. How many pages will he live this time?

Whenever Tomitake shows up it always makes me laugh since he never lasts long.

"Oh hey, you're Maebara, right? I'm Tomitake and I like to take photos. See you at the festival!"

I am really glad Mercy's cat survived the fire.

Briggs's books are always so ... comfortable. Just really easy to jump into.

The last bit I just read reminds me of (which I can't stop playing.) That was seriously not something that even crossed my mind while reading this series. I just thought this was a fantasy Earth. I mean, it might still be, but I'm just wondering now if there's more to it than that.

Ok, I'm gonna be honest here. A lot of what's going on in the beginning would probably be boring to people that don't already love this series. But the reason I enjoy even these mundane conversations and topics is because I just love the cast. I love these people. And I love how much they care about Meg.

"Tella, this is wrong," Scarlett said. "You can't be in love with someone you just met."

Scarlett was not fond of fate. She liked to believe if she were good, good things would happen. Fate left her feeling powerless, and hopeless, and with an overall feeling of lessness. To her, fate seemed like a larger, omnipotent version of her father, stealing her choices and controlling her life without any regard for her feelings. Fate meant that nothing she did mattered.

Scarlett never said a word. Not when Tella teased her about her castles, or about her growing fixation with Caraval. Because Tella's fantasy of being a mermaid gave Scarlet hope—that despite their mother's abandonment, and their father's lack of love, her sister could still dream, and that was something Scarlett never wanted to destroy.

This feels very Willy Wonka-ish

It would have been easier to let her go if she'd at least said goodbye, written a note, or left a tiny hint as to where or why she'd gone. But Paloma had simply vanished, taking nothing with her. She'd disappeared like a broken star, leaving the world untouched, save for the bits of missing light that no one would ever see again.

I'm gonna make it to Convergence today, even if it kills me. I'm so sick of not being able to read the new DC comics because I'm not caught up to them.

I don't think I've ever read a book that made me so sad with the first chapter.

I feel like Maas has gone out of her way to make Feyre seem useless because people complained about how Celaena was hyped up so much without actually *showing* how she was such a badass.
