Black blood stained the blade, and steam rose from it. Carefully, Lan wiped the blade clean with a cloth he took from his saddlebags, examining the steel to make sure he had gotten every spot. When he dropped the cloth, it fell apart before it reached the ground, even the fragments dissolving.

A great start to this book. Hope this keeps up.

Been SO into this one I even forgot to mark it as currently reading here. This book.... It's guaranteed to be on my best of 2019 list. A MUST READ.

I wish I could vote for Oathbringer. I have no doubt that it is going to be my favourite book of the year by quite a margin. And yet, it is NOT YET RELEASED. Fix your awards thingie.

Does anyone know if US bookstores actually get their stock of newly released books before the release date, or only on release date? It baffles me how local suppliers are unable to get new releases any sooner than two weeks after the release date.
