I'm new to your work and I kind of fell into the middle of the Guardian series and I felt that I was missing something, so my question to you is should I read the series in order (the Guardian series) or is there other books that lead to the Guardian series that I should read first??? Thanks
Ellie Masters Hi Stacey!
The series is best read in order, but not necessary. To get the background of how the Guardians came about, you'll want to read my Angel Fire series (rock romance). In that series, Skye and Forest are introduced.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Ellie Masters UGH...I hate writer's block. I don't deal with it at all. When in the grips of writer's block I do something else. When you find the answer, let me know.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Ellie Masters My catch phrase...bringing forth the characters from my-mind-to-the-page.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Ellie Masters You don't know what you don't know. Join a critique group. My critique group has done wonders with my writing over the years. Critiquing others IMPROVES your writing. So I suggest critique ten times more than you write, and read even more than that!

What are you currently working on?
Ellie Masters I am currently working on releasing my debut novel, CHANGING ROLES. It is being published by Loose-Id and I'm thrilled to be working with them. They hooked me up with an amazing editor. Next in line are two novels...Twist of Fate and another yet untitled (untitled because I hate thinking of titles). Both are erotic reads.

How do you get inspired to write?
Ellie Masters I read a lot. Other writers inspire me. I'll read a scene and take that as a nugget and let it grow into a full fledged idea. OH, and WINE!!! Wine is a great inspiration. Sitting in my chair by the fire, sipping a glass or two or three of wine, with a fur-baby curled up by my feet...that's great inspiration.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Ellie Masters Cherise StClaire's Master of the Shadowlands is probably one of my earliest BDSM influences. I had always wanted to write about a BDSM club. This idea, however, I'm not really certain where it came from. I wanted to write a story with a kickass heroine, a strong, independent woman who finds she can be soft and feminine yet still be strong.
